Our company is made up of 50 employees, and counting, and our head office is located in the beautiful Old Port of Montreal.
You will be the only member in the HR department and responsible for updating and maintaining the company HR tools and processes. Working closely with senior management, you will contribute significantly to the expansion of the company and its culture.
Responsibilities as HR Director
Coach and assist directors and employees on labour laws and HR best practices
Suggest new salaries according to pay scale
Select additional HR tools and create new procedures as needed
Create, develop, and maintain HR policies based on the market and update the employee handbook, and other policies (English and French)
Contribute to recruiting, improve procedures and coordinate processes
Manage onboarding process (job postings, references, background checks, work contracts, tour of offices, introductions to employees, etc.).
Manage employee files using the internal HR system (BambooHR)
Manage employee social benefits (group insurance, RRSP, stock option plan)
Prepare reports and presentations for managers (salaries, employee satisfaction, performance of employees and managers, turnover rates, etc.).
Be a point of reference for all employees
Perform all other related tasks related to the growth and development of CloudOps
Qualifications as HR Director
Bachelor in Human Resources or related field
5 to 10 years experience as a generalist or in HR management
Experience in a SME
Experience in a technology-based company
Excellent knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices
Autonomy, efficient stress management and comfortable with remote supervision
Strong negotiation, persuasion, and perseverance skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team work skills.
Ability to adapt in working with different types of people and internal teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and French)
